In the foreseeable future, India’s success as a nation will depend solely on the ability of its people to empower its children with the capacity to make educated choices. As world’s 2nd most populous nation and with a dismal literacy rate of only 73%; India’s education woes are for from meeting its targets. With almost 28% of the country’s population currently under the age of 14, the time for direct intervention in the field of education is here and now. This intervention cannot be the sole responsibility of the government, it’s time for the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model to take up the challenge. It’s time to give back to the society, for our children and their future. It’s time our children went to school.
